Customizing and publishing your Intuit website

1 Save your registration

Make sure to write down your user ID (this should be the same as your email address) and password. Store this information in a safe place so you can access it later.

2 Choose a domain name

Your domain name (for example, www.your-companys-site.com) is your company’s “address” on the Internet. Choose a name that's easy to remember so customers can find you.

3 Pick a design template

Browse Intuit's library of templates. Don’t worry about finding the perfect match for your business; at a later stage, you’ll be able to customize nearly every aspect of the template.

4 Make it yours

Customize your website with text, images and video. Add up to two additional pages to showcase team biographies, current products and photo galleries. When you're ready to see your business online, click "Publish."

Frequently Asked Questions:

Why do I need to create a Google account to sign up for a free Intuit website?

A Google account is free and enables you to personalize your experience across all Google products and services. With your account, you’ll also be able to access valuable online tools for your business that will work in tandem with your new Intuit website.

What if I already have a domain name?

No problem. If you already have a domain name, you can link your existing domain to your new Intuit website.

I am seeing a message that says, “This email is already associated with an Intuit account.” What does this mean?

If you are seeing this message, it means you already have an account with a different Intuit service like Turbo Tax or QuickBooks. You'll need to use that same Intuit password when you sign up to create your free website. If you can’t remember your Intuit password, create your website account using a different Google email address.

Why does Intuit ask for my credit card number?

The domain name and hosting for your new Intuit website is free for one year. Intuit requires a credit card to complete the domain registration process because your credit card number is the easiest way to validate your identity. This is standard practice and protects against someone else trying to claim your domain name.

How do I edit my website once it goes online?

You can customize your website whenever you like by returning to the Intuit login page (www.intuitwebsites.com). Simply enter your username and password to view your account.

When does my free year start? What happens once it is over?

Your free year starts on the day you sign up for your Intuit Websites account. After your first year of free service you'll be automatically billed $2 per month for your domain name and $4.99 per month for web hosting. You can cancel these services at any time by logging into your account, navigating to your Account Summary and then clicking the link, “cancel this service.”

How do the 30 days of free email support work?

After signing up for your free website, you'll receive free email support from Intuit the first 30 days. This means you can submit a problem or question via email to the Intuit team. You'll typically receive a response within 48 hours. Once your first month is complete, you'll still have ongoing access to the Intuit Community and Online Help Center. If you need further assistance, you can upgrade to the Business Lite package ($7.99 a month) to receive individual phone support.
